About Me

Nina Sagawa

I’m Nina Sagawa, a Software Engineering BS/MS student at RIT, where I’ve developed a strong foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and full-stack development. My experience spans backend development in Java, Python, and C#, frontend design using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Angular, and database systems with SQL and PostgreSQL. In addition to my academic work, I’ve gained hands-on experience with RESTful API design, UML modeling, and Agile development processes through collaborative team projects. I also serve as a Teaching Assistant for GCIS-127 (Software Development for Transfers), where I help new students strengthen their understanding of programming fundamentals and best practices. I’m passionate about backend systems, clean architecture, and projects that solve real problems through efficient, human-focused software. My goal is to continue growing as an engineer through challenging projects and industry experience, while building technology that makes a tangible difference.
